The Constitution of the Iranian Association at the University of Toronto (IAUT) was updated on May 5, 2004 (last revised on July 20, 2009).  

Article One – Introduction  

1. The name of the group shall be the Iranian Association at the University ofToronto (IAUT)

2. IAUT is an independent cultural, academic and social organization that seeks topromote activities relating to Iran and Iranians at the University of Toronto (U ofT) and the general community.

3. IAUT shall be non-partisan and will not advocate or promote the interest of anyone political party, group or individual. 

4. IAUT shall be non-religious and will not advocate or promote any religion and/orreligious group. 

5. IAUT shall be non-profit and will not be a medium for personal monetary profitfrom any activities. 

Board of Directors:

• Arash Bateni

Graduated from the University of Toronto, Arash has studied engineering, system analysis and management. After years of experience in research, consulting, production and business environments, he is currently employed as Director of Research at Teradata. Arash has been actively cooperated with the Iranian Association at the University of Toronto (IAUT) since its establishment 10 years ago. He was the Coordinator and Project Manager of Under the Azure Dome festival, the largest event organized by IAUT to date.

• Golbarg Rekabtalayi

Golbarg is a second year PhD student in Near and Middle Eastern Studies. She has been an IAUT member since 2007. She is also active in Symposium committee at Near and Middle Eastern Students Association (NMCGSA).

• Ghazaleh Bozorgmanesh-Fard

Ghazaleh got her master’s of biotechnology in Iran. She is currently majoring in literature at the University of Toronto. She has been a working with IAUT since 2008. Ghazaleh is also a journalist at Salam Toronto, bilingual magazine of Iranian community in Toronto.
