Dear members,
We would like to announce the coming performance of Maestros Hossein Alizadeh, an Iranian composer, Tar and Setar player and Pejman Hadadi, the renowned Iranian Percussionist/Tombak player. The concert title (Monad) is inspired by the two artists' extraordinary collaborative CD by the same name released by Hermes records in 2009. Monad explores the collaboration of two of the foremost artists in Persian music today. Based on the art of improvisation, the concert will explore their collaboration of the recording Monad, but this night will be unique as it explores the Farsi term "haal", meaning the expression of the musicians feeling in the moment.
